Local children donate money raised by art show

Children in the Art In the Afternoon program in present an $800 check to Black Mountain Primary School principal Malorie McGinnis. The money, which was raised by the program's annual art show at the Black Mountain Library, will go toward the construction of a new playground at the school. Emerson Kearnes (holding the check), Lyle Sulzman, Derek Osborne, Wren Boyd and Art In the Afternoon director Stephanie Sulzman (next to McGinnis), presented the check on July 19.
