The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department reported these recent incidents and arrests.

Incidents

Criminal damage to property was reported on May 24 on the 100 block of Cherry Street. 

Felony drug offense was reported on May 24 on the 100 block of Emily's Spring Drive. 

Forgery was reported on May 25 on the 300 block of West State Street. 

Obtaining money under false pretense was reported on May 25 on the 200 block of McCoy Cove Road. 

Felony breaking or entering-with force was reported on May 25 on the 2000 block of U.S. 70. 

Driving while impaired was reported on May 25 on the 900 block of Old U.S. 70. 

Driving while impaired was reported on May 26 on the 200 block of Old U.S. 70. 

An animal bite was reported on May 26 on the 100 block of McQueen Parkway. 

Larceny of a firearm was reported on May 27 on the 100 block of Flat Creek Road. 

Simple physical assault with a sexual motive was reported on May 29 on the first block of Terry Estate Drive. 

An animal bite was reported on May 29 on the 100 block of Heavenly Way. 

Larceny from buildings was reported on May 30 on the 500 block of Stepp Street. 

Possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a Schedule VI controlled substance and maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance were reported on May 31 on the 400 block of Blue Ridge Road. 

Arrests

Elliott James McDermott, 21, of Black Mountain, was arrested on May 21 on the 300 block of Montreat Road and charged with possession of marijuana up to half an ounce and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. 

Devlin Lorenzo Neal, 56, of Asheville, was arrested on May 21 on the 500 block of N.C. 9 and charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle and driving with license revoked-not impaired. 

Kyle James Glenn, 37, of Black Mountain, was arrested on May 23 on the 200 block of West State Street and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of stolen goods, having a fictitious or altered tag or registration card and possession of drug paraphernalia.
