April 26 Swannanoa Valley crimes and arrests

The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department reported these recent incidents and arrests.

Incidents

Felony breaking or entering-with force was reported on April 12 on the 100 block of Summer Street. 

Possession of drug paraphernalia was reported on April 12 on the 100 block of Lake Eden Road. 

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on April 13 on the first block of Vance Avenue. 

Criminal damage to property, assault on a law enforcement officer and disorderly conduct were reported on April 13 on Portmanvilla Road. 

Assault on a female, drug violations, kidnapping and possession with intent to sell, manufacture or distribute methamphetamine were reported on April 14 on the first block of Kappa Loop. 

First-degree burglary-with force was reported on April 14 on the 100 block of Woodcreek Circle. 

Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of marijuana up to half an ounce and possession of marijuana paraphernalia were reported on April 15 on the 500 block of N.C. 9. 

Felony possession of marijuana, possession with intent to sell, manufacture or distribute a Schedule VI controlled substance and possession of marijuana paraphernalia were reported on April 15 on the 600 block of West State Street. 

Simple assault was reported on April 15 on the 100 block of Nike Drive. 

Simple physical assault was reported on April 16 on the first block of Woodcock Street. 

Larceny was reported on April 16 on the 1900 block of U.S. 70. 

Fraud was reported on April 16 on the 500 block of Old U.S. 70. 

A misdemeanor drug offense was reported on April 17 on the 100 block of Lake Eden Road. 

Possession of drug paraphernalia was reported on April 18 on the 100 block of Lake Eden Road. 

A misdemeanor drug offense was reported on April 18 on the 100 block of Lake Eden Road. 

Crime

Arrests 

Jeffrey Lee Woody, 47, of Asheville, was arrested on the 100 block of North Ridgeway Avenue and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. 

Shamarla Tyrnise Hare, 31, of Black Mountain, was arrested on April 13 on Charles Court and charged injury to personal property, assault on a government official and resisting public officers.
