April 5 Swannanoa Valley crimes and arrests

The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department reported these recent incidents and arrests.

Incidents

Driving while impaired was reported on March 23 on Honeycutt Street. 

Misdemeanor larceny was reported on March 23 on the 200 block of Tabernacle Road.

Burglary and larceny were reported on March 23 on the 100 block of North Blue Ridge Road. 

Felony breaking or entering-with force was reported on March 23 on the 300 block of Asheville Road. 

An animal bite was reported on March 26 on the 200 block of Varden Place. 

Assault on a female was reported on March 26 on the first block of Alpine Shadow Lane. 

Larceny and breaking and entering were reported on March 27 at mile marker 82 on I-40 westbound. 

Damage to real property was reported on March 27 on the 100 block of Sylvester Way. 

Aggravated assault was reported on March 28 on the first block of Goldmont Street. 

Arrests

Wendy Elaine Price, 41, of Black Mountain, was arrested on March 16 on the 500 block of N.C. 9 and charged with resisting public officers.

Niki Minesh Jones, 20, of Black Mountain, was arrested on March 17 on the 100 block of Montreat Road and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

Billy Joe Trantham, 45, of Asheville, was arrested on March 17 on the 1200 block of Old U.S. 70 and charged with uttering a forged instrument.
