The Black Mountain Grief Circle is hosting a weekend healing retreat May 4-6 at the Quaker meeting house in Black Mountain.

Open to all, regardless of the type of loss, the "The Joyful Song and Dance of Grief" weekend is aimed at facilitating the gentle release of sorrow. Local facilitators for the event include grief dula Sheridan Hill; Kim Hughes, M.ED.; and Julia Considine, MPH.
Registration is limited, and early sign-ups are discounted.

Hill, a biographer, has spent most of the last 25 years living in solitude, writing. But the circumstances of her own life, beginning with losing a parent to gun violence when she was 15, as well as losses that she sees in the lives of her clients, led her to found the Black Mountain Grief Circle three years ago.
