Feb. 1 Swannanoa Valley crimes and arrests

The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department reported these recent incidents and arrests.

Incidents

Damage to real property was reported on Jan. 21 on the 300 block of Genesis Circle.

Counterfeiting was reported on Jan. 22 on the 200 block of N.C. 9.

Counterfeiting was reported on Jan. 22 on the 500 block of N.C. 9. 

Larceny from buildings was reported on Jan. 22 on the 700 block of Holly Avenue. 

Larceny was reported on Jan. 23 on the 100 block of Old U.S. 70 East. 

Arrests 

Thomas Mark Richard Hughey, 21, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Jan. 13 on the first block of Alpine Shadow Lane and charged with communicating threats.
