Jan. 18 Swannanoa Valley crimes and arrests

The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department reported these recent incidents and arrests.

Incidents

Larceny was reported on Jan. 4 on the 2200 block of U.S. 70. 

Felony drug offense was reported on Jan. 5 on the 100 block of Patton Cove Road. 

An animal bite was reported on Jan. 7 on the 100 block of Lake Eden Road. 

Larceny was reported on Jan. 8 on at Lake Tomahawk. 

Fighting was reported on Jan. 9 the 100 block of Lake Eden Road. 

A felony drug offense was reported on Jan. 9 on the 1900 block of U.S. 70. 

Traffic offenses were reported on Jan. 9 on the 2000 block of U.S. 70. 

Criminal damage to property (vandalism) was reported on Jan. 10 on the 200 block of Sutton Avenue. 

Assault with a deadly weapon and assault on a female were reported on Jan. 10 on the 300 block of Charles Court. 

Fighting was reported on Jan. 10 on the 100 block of Lake Eden Road. 

Larceny from a motor vehicle and breaking and entering were reported on Jan. 11 on the first block of Byrd Road. 

Crime

Arrests

Micah William Cogdill, 36, of Waynesville, was arrested on Jan. 2 and charged with resisting public officers and driving while license revoked-not impaired.
