Jan. 11 Swannanoa Valley crimes and arrests

The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department reported these recent incidents and arrests.

Incidents

Drug violations were reported on Dec. 28 on WNC Shopping Center Drive. 

Possession of firearm by a felon, possession with intent to sell, manufacture or distribute a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, carrying a concealed weapon, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance and driving while license is revoked were reported on Dec. 29 on the 100 block of Old U.S. 70. 

Larceny was reported on Dec. 29 on the first block of Vance Avenue. 

Carrying a concealed weapon was reported on the Dec. 29 on the 2300 block of U.S. 70. 

Damage to personal property was reported on Jan. 1 the 800 block of Long Branch Road. 

Possession of counterfeit money was reported on Jan. 2 on the 500 block of N.C. 9. 

Fighting was reported on Jan. 2 on the 100 block of Lake Eden Road. 

Crime

Arrests

Tonya Rene Tyndall, 39, of Black Mountain was arrested on Dec. 27 and charged with injury to real property. 

Timothy Wayne Kilpatrick, 54, of Swannanoa, was arrested on Dec. 28 and charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and a fictitious or altered registration card or tag. 

Misty Dawn Curry, 24, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Dec. 29 and charged with 10 counts of larceny. 

Stephanie Nicole Duke, 31, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Dec. 29 and charged with carrying a concealed gun, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distributed a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. 

Christopher Joseph Plumley, 34, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Dec. 29 and charged with maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for a controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a felon, carrying a concealed gun, possession with intent to sell, manufacture or distribute a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance.
