Nov. 9 Swannanoa Valley crimes and arrests
The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department reported these incidents and arrests.
Fraud was reported on the 100 block of Vance Avenue.
An animal bite was reported on the 100 block of O'Neil Circle.
Larceny was reported on the 100 block of Wray Avenue.
Larceny was reported on the 100 block of Montreat Road.
Possession of a firearm by a felon was reported on the 100 block of Riverwood Road.
Larceny of a motor vehicle was reported on the 400 block of Melody Circle.
Attempted breaking and entering was reported on the 600 block of N.C. 9.
Property damage was reported on the first block of Silver Place.
Disorderly conduct was reported on the 200 block of Old U.S. 70.
Justin David Clark, 27, of Denver, was arrested on the 500 block of N.C. 9 and charged with second-degree trespassing and larceny.
Billy Ray Ricketts, Jr., 56, of Black Mountain, was arrested at the intersection of Church Street and Laurel Circle Drive and charged with speeding, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, having an expired registration card/tag, having a fictitious or altered title or registration card and felony fleeing or eluding arrest.
Daniel James Massey, 28, of Asheville, was arrested on the 100 block of Old U.S. 70 East and charged with simple assault.
Robert Anthony Gonzalez, 28, of Alexander, was arrested on the 100 block of Vance Avenue and charged with assault on a female.
Allan Keith Miller, 59, of Black Mountain, was arrested at the intersection of Broadway Avenue and State Street and charged with driving while impaired.
Kevin Duane Simpson, 50, of Asheville, was arrested on Rhododendron Avenue and charged with possession of methamphetamine and providing fictitious information to an officer.
Rachel Annette Gutierrez, 41, of Swannanoa, was arrested on Rhododendron Avenue and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting public officers, possession of methamphetamine and operating a vehicle without a license.
