The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department reported these incidents and arrests.

Incidents 

Oct. 19

Drug violations were reported on the 400 block of West State Street. 

Oct. 21

Simple physical assault was reported on the 3100 block of U.S. 70 West. 

Common law robbery was reported on the 100 block of Grovemont Avenue. 

Breaking or entering - no force was reported on the 100 block of Lytle Cove Road. 

Damage to personal property was reported on the 200 block of Summer Street. 

Oct. 22

Larceny was reported on the 300 block of Lake Eden Road. 

An animal bite was reported on the 300 block of Patton Hill Road. 

Oct. 23

Criminal damage to property (vandalism) was reported on Cherry Street. 

Criminal damage to property (Vandalism) was reported on Vances Drive. 

Oct. 24

An animal bite was reported on the 200 block of Old Toll Circle. 

Possession of drug paraphernalia was reported on the 100 block of Lake Eden Road. 

Forgery - using/uttering was reported on the first block of Cotton Creek Circle. 

Felony breaking or entering - with force was reported on the 800 block of Warren Wilson Road. 

Oct. 25

Larceny of a motor vehicle was reported on the 100 block of Rider Lane. 

Arrests 

Oct. 14

Michael Jay Blankenship, 37, of Candler, was arrested at the intersection of Richardson Boulevard and U.S. 70 and charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana - less than half an ounce, simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana paraphernalia and driving with license revoked - not impaired. 

Oct. 17

Jerry Alvin Jones, Jr., 36, of Asheville, was arrested on the 200 block of N.C. 9 and charged with being intoxicated and disruptive. 

Oct. 20 

James Robert Trawitz, 44, of Fairview, was arrested on the 700 block of N.C. 9 and charged with felony possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

John Jerrold Postle, 41, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the 700 block of N.C. 9 and charged with possession with intent to sell, manufacture or distribute cocaine, possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, possession with intent to sell, manufacture or distribute marijuana, maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
