Swannanoa Valley crimes and arrests as of Aug. 31

The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department reported these incidents and arrests.

Incidents

Aug. 24

Larceny of construction equipment was reported on Portmanvilla Road.

Hit and run property damage was reported on the first block of Shumate Road.

Larceny was reported on the 500 block of N.C. 9.

Aug. 25

Burglary - non-forced entry was reported on the 100 block of North Dougherty Street.

Felony drug offense was reported on the 100 block of Alexander Place.

Larceny was reported on the 100 block of Hildreth Lane.

Aug. 26

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on the first block of Hamlet Street.

Aug. 27

Medical forced entry was reported on the 200 block of East College Street.

Felony breaking or entering - with force - was reported on the 100 block of McQueen Parkway.

Aug. 28 

Possession of methamphetamine was reported on N.C. 9.

Aug. 29 

Damage to property was reported on the 200 block of Vance Avenue.

Larceny was reported on the 700 block of Warren Wilson Road.

Aug. 30

Fraud - obtaining money/property under false pretense was reported on the first block of Alpine Shadow Lane.

Larceny was reported on the 400 block of West State Street.

Arrests 

Aug. 22

Gilberto Jaime-Silva, 18, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the 300 block of Charles Court and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and injury to personal property.
