Swannanoa Valley crimes and arrests as of July 6

The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department reported these incidents and arrests.

Incidents

June 29

Possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute methamphetamine, maintaining a dwelling for the use, storage or sale of a controlled substance and possession of a drug paraphernalia were reported at the intersection of Flat Creek Road and Padgettown Road.

June 30 

Possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute methamphetamine, possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance, drug paraphernalia (other than for marijuana), driving with license revoked and driving with revoked license plate were reported on the 300 block of West State Street.

Larceny of a motor vehicle was reported on the 2300 block of U.S. 70.

A felony drug offense was reported on the 100 block of Buckeye Cove Road.

Larceny was reported on the 800 block of Long Branch Road.

July 1

Possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of cocaine, possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia were reported on the 2600 block of U.S. 70.

July 3

Fraud was reported on the 100 block of Springdale Road.

Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance was reported at the intersection of Grovestone Road and U.S. 70.

Larceny and fraud - obtaining money under false pretense were reported on the first block of Sunset Drive.

July 4

Larceny of a tag was reported on the 100 block of Alan Campos Circle.

Felony drug offense was reported on the 200 block of North Avenue.

Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, simple possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance and simple possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance were reported on I-40 eastbound at exit 66.

July 5

Fraud /obtaining money/property under false pretense was reported on the 100 block of Center Avenue.

Arrests

June 24

Nathaniel Thomas Davidson, 49, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Carver Avenue and charged with driving with license revoked while impaired.

June 25

Jason Adam Craig, 33, of Asheville, was arrested on the 100 block of West College Street and charged with assault on a female.

Sara Ann Nickell, 21, of Hendersonville, was arrested on the 100 block of Taylor Street and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, obtaining property by false pretense, felony breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering.

Sandra McKinney Capps, 62, of Marion, was arrested on the 100 block of Sutton Avenue and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine and simple possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance.

Chad Cleveland Wagstaff, 40, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the 100 block of Center Avenue and charged with misdemeanor larceney.

June 26

Sean Thomas Ricks, 22, of Summerville, South Carolina, was arrested at the eastbound on-ramp at exit 64 on I-40 and charged with felony possession of cocaine.

David Scott Blankenship, 42, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Montreat Road and charged with being intoxicated and disruptive and disorderly conduct.

June 29

Devon James Morris, 24, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the 100 block of Vance Avenue and charged with to counts of injury to real property.
