Crime report in the Swannanoa Valley

The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department reported these incidents and arrests.

Incidents

April 13

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on the 100 block of Sunset Drive.

Motor vehicle theft was reported on the 100 block of Belle Street.

Larceny was reported on the first block of Aqua Drive.

April 14

Larceny was reported on the 200 block of Yates Avenue.

Larceny was reported on the 100 block of Everett Swafford Drive.

Damage to personal property was reported on the 800 block of Bee Tree Road.

April 16

Larceny was reported on the 2300 block of U.S. 70.

Assault on a female and simple physical assault were reported on the 100 block of Carver Avenue.

Criminal damage to property (vandalism) was reported on the 200 block of Sutton Avenue.

April 18

Damage to real property was reported on the 1200 block of North Fork Road.

Breaking and entering and larceny were reported on the 200 block of Davis Drive.

April 19

Larceny was reported on the 100 block of Hourglass Way.

Arrests

April 11

Brad Dylan Taylor, 36, of Asheville, was arrested on the 100 block of Broadway Avenue and charged with breaking or entering a motor vehicle.

Christopher Donnell King, 37, of Asheville, was arrested at the intersection of Cragmont Road and Swannanoa Avenue and charged with possession of marijuana paraphernalia, simple possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance and driving with license revoked - not impaired.

Crime

April 12

Christopher Joseph Cormier, 32, of Black Mountain, was arrested at the intersection of Montreat Road and State Street and charged with possession of methamphetamine.

April 14

Kimberly Leanne Kerr, 34, of Weaverville, was arrested on the 600 block of West State Street and charged with possession of methamphetamine, simple possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute cocaine.

David Shane Day, 42, of Gastonia, was arrested on the 900 block of Old U.S. 70 and charged with assault on a female, misdemeanor larceny and providing fictitious information to an officer.

Christopher James Lindsey, 25, of Columbus, was arrested on the 600 block of West State Street and charged with possession of methamphetamine, simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, simple possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, driving with license revoked - not impaired, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Randall William Taylor, 28, of Black Mountain, was arrested at the intersection of Montreat Road and First Street and charged with driving with license revoked - not impaired.

April 15

Mark Alan Gildberg, 38, of Asheville, was arrested at the intersection of East Cotton Avenue and Portmanvilla Road and charged with driving while impaired and failure to stop at a stop sign.
