Crime report in the Swannanoa Valley

The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department reported these incidents and arrests.

Incidents

April 6 

A felony drug offense was reported on the 400 block of Bee Tree Road.

Assault on a government official was reported on the 1200 block of Bee Tree Road.

April 8

Larceny of a tag was reported on the 700 block of Warren Wilson Road.

Felony breaking or entering was reported on the 200 block of Montreat Road.

April 9

Simple physical domestic assault was reported on the 600 block of West State Street.

April 10

Larceny was reported on the 100 block of Shady Grove.

April 11

A misdemeanor drug offense was reported on the Interstate 40 eastbound.

Larceny from buildings was reported on the 900 block of Montreat Road.

April 12

Possession of drug paraphernalia was reported at the intersection of U.S. 70 and Sylvester Way.

Possession of methamphetamine was reported at the intersection of Montreat Road and State Street.

Two counts of criminal damage to property (vandalism) were reported on the 100 block of Sutton Avenue.

First-degree burglary and larceny were reported on the first block of Vances Drive.

April 13

Larceny from motor vehicle was reported on the 100 block of Sunset Drive.

Crime

Arrests

April 1

Christopher Terence Stark, 41, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the 500 block of N.C. 9 and charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

April 5

Sean Michael Ingle, 34, of Black Mountain, was arrested at mile marker 62 on I-40 westbound and charged with driving while impaired, driving with license revoked while impaired and aggressive driving.

Colton McKenzie Meadows, 23, of King, was arrested on the 700 block of N.C. 9 and charged with possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, assault on a government official and resisting public officers.

Ricky Dean Banks, 33, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 3000 block of U.S. 70 and charged with cyberstalking.
