Crime report in the Swannanoa Valley
The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department reported these incidents and arrests.
Incidents
March 31
Simple assault was reported on the 100 block of Lake Eden Road.
April 1
Possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of less than half an ounce of a Schedule IV controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia were reported on the 500 block of N.C. 9.
April 2
Larceny was reported on the 400 block of Laurel Circle Drive.
An animal bite was reported on the 100 block of Chapel Lane.
Larceny was reported on the 300 block of Old U.S. 70.
A felony drug offense was reported at the intersection of Alexander Place and Park Street.
April 4
A self-inflicted gunshot wound was reported on the 800 block of Oconeechee Avenue.
April 5
Disorderly conduct was reported on the 700 block of Old U.S. 70.
A felony drug offense was reported on the 100 block of Huntington Drive.
Larceny was reported on the 200 block of N.C. 9.
Fraud - obtaining money or property under false pretense - was reported on the 200 block of Crestview Drive.
Motor vehicle theft was reported on the 300 block of Flat Creek Road.
Arrests
March 27
Jorge Corrales, 25, of Marion, was arrested and charged with resisting public officers.
March 28
Oliver Silva Orozco, 34, of Wilmington, was arrested on the 200 block of N.C. 9 and charged with driving with license revoked while impaired.
Mooryol Lee, 25, of Black Mountain, was arrested at the intersection of Whitson Road and U.S. 70 and charged with possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, speed violation and aggressive driving.
Brian Keith Greene, 45, of Marion, was arrested on the 500 block of State Street and charged with driving with license revoked while impaired.
March 31
Timothy Nelson Hancock, 30, of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, was arrested on the 500 block of Bat Cave Road and charged with felony larceny, larceny and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance.
