The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department reported these incidents and arrests.

Jan. 19

Larceny of a motor vehicle was reported on the 2300 block of U.S. 70.

Jan. 20

Misdemeanor breaking or entering was reported on the 300 block of Lake Eden Road.

Jan. 22

Larceny from buildings was reported on the 500 block of Brandon Road.

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on the 2200 block of U.S. 70.

Felony breaking or entering - with force - was reported on the 100 block of Myrtle Road.

Damage to personal property was reported on the 100 block of Tom Rickard Lane.

Larceny was reported on the 500 block of Blue Ridge Road.

Counterfeiting was reported on the 2300 block of U.S. 70.

Jan. 24

Misdemeanor breaking or entering was reported on the 100 block of Azalea Avenue.

Larceny was reported on the 600 block of Rhododendron Avenue.

Jan. 25

Financial transaction card fraud and obtaining property by false pretense were reported at a business on the 500 block of N.C. 9.

Arrests

Jan. 14

Daniel James Massey, 27, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the 500 block of N.C. 9 and charged with misdemeanor larceny, assault and battery and resisting public officers.

Jan. 15

Lindsey Michelle Webb, 21, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the 100 block of Old U.S. 70 and charged with possession of marijuana paraphernalia, possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana, driving with license revoked - not impaired and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jan. 16

Thomas Mark Richard Hughey, 20, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the first block of Alpine Shadow Lane and charged with injury to real property and second-degree trespassing.

Ronald Allen Lee III, 34, of Marion, was arrested on the 500 block of N.C. 9 and charged with two counts of writing a simple worthless check.

David Noah Scott, 18, of Swannanoa, was arrested on East Street and charged with maintaining a vehicle, place or dwelling for a controlled substance, possession of marijuana paraphernalia and having an expired registration or tag.

Jan. 18

John Colton Treischmann, 19, of Knoxville, Tennessee, was arrested on the 500 block of N.C. 9 and charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

Jan. 20

Dennis James Schmeiler, 54, of Black Mountain, was arrested at the intersection of Padgettown Road and Old U.S. 70 and charged with driving with license revoked while impaired, operating a vehicle with no insurance and having a fictitious or altered vehicle title or registration.
