The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department reported these incidents and arrests.

Incidents

Jan. 5

Armed robbery was reported on the 200 block of Chestnut Hill Road.

Larceny was reported on the 100 block of Richardson Boulevard.

Jan. 6

Animal cruelty was reported on the 100 block of Alexander Street.

Larceny - shoplifting was reported on the 100 block of Cherry Street.

Jan. 7

Assault on a female was reported on the 300 block of Buckeye Access Road.

Jan. 8

An animal bite was reported on the 100 block of South Blue Ridge Road.

Larceny from buildings was reported on the 100 block of Edwards Avenue.

Jan. 9

Felony breaking or entering was reported on the 3400 block of N.C. 9.

Jan. 11

A traffic offense was reported on the 300 block of Whitson Avenue.

Arrests

Jan. 2

Nathaniel Adam Laws, 21, of Franklin, was arrested on N.C. 9 and charged with driving with license revoked - not impaired, possession of more than one and a half ounces of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Shan Nikole Bryson, 19, of Franklin, was arrested on N.C. 9 and charged with possession of more than one and a half ounces of marijuana.

Jan. 3

Tony Brad Edwards, 53, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the first block of Peridot Point and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Marques Maurice Leach, 37, of Asheville, was arrested on the 3000 block of U.S. 70 and charged with disorderly conduct, being intoxicated and disruptive and resisting public officers.

Alicia Woody Tremblay, 41, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 300 block of Black Mountain Avenue and charged with having a fictitious or altered title, registration or vehicle tag and driving with license revoked, not impaired.

Kelce Phillip Lytle III, 46, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the 100 block of Carver Avenue and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Jan. 6

Jason Keith Yoder, 42, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the 100 block of U.S. 70 and charged with shoplifting and second-degree trespassing.

Zachary Ryan Mixon, 30, of Asheville, was arrested on Gail Drive and charged with resisting public officers.
