Incidents

Nov. 3

Fraud was reported on the 200 block of Kennedy Drive.

Drug offense - false presentation was reported on the 200 block of Old U.S. 70.

Disturbing the peace was reported on the 200 block of Old U.S. 70.

Larceny was reported on the first block of Woodcock Street.

Nov. 4

Larceny of a motor vehicle was reported at the intersection of N.C. 9 and I-40.

Larceny was reported on the 100 block of WNC Shopping Center Drive.

Nov. 5

An animal bite was reported on the 300 block of West State Street.

Nov. 6

Felony breaking and entering - with force was reported on the 3000 block of N.C. 9.

Nov. 7

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on the 300 block of Genesis Circle.

Nov. 9

Shoplifting was reported at a business on the 500 block of N.C. 9.

Arrests

Oct. 29

Dexter William Hancock IV, 29, of Pelham, was arrested at the intersection of East State Street and Honeycutt Street on a fugitive warrant.

Brendan James Elmore, 21, of Arden, was arrested on the 100 block of Broadway Street and charged with having an expired registration card/tag, resisting public officers and driving while license revoked - not impaired.

Daniel Marquese Smith, 21, of Asheville, was arrested on the first block of East State Street and charged with having no operator's license.

Oct. 30

Kayal Ann Burton, 23, of Mills River, was arrested on the first block of Luckadoo Lane and charged with simple assault.

Jesse Christopher Vestine, 36, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the 700 block of Ninth Street and charged with simple assault, resisting public officers and injury to personal property.

Nov. 1

Michael Thomas Anderson, 33, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the 100 block of Old U.S. 70 and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana less than half an ounce.

Nov. 4

Robert Smith Durant, 62, of Black Mountain, was arrested at a business on the 200 block of N.C. 9 and charged with felony possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
