Crime report in the Swannanoa Valley
The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department reported these incidents and arrests.
Incidents
Oct. 7
Misdemeanor breaking or entering was reported on the 2400 block of U.S 70.
Burglary - forcible entry - was reported on the 100 block of Center Avenue.
Larceny of a motor vehicle and larceny - all other larceny - were reported on the 100 block of Center Avenue.
Oct. 9
Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was reported on the 100 block of Riddle Road.
Burglary - forcible entry - was reported on the 100 block of Church Street.
Oct. 10
Kidnapping was reported on the 100 block of Outlook Circle.
Possession with intent to sell, manufacture or distribute cocaine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of heroin, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance, possession of narcotics in a detention facility, possession of paraphernalia and absconding were reported on the 400 block of East State Street.
Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on the first block of Jane Jacobs Road.
Oct. 12
Larceny was reported on the first block of Forest Lane.
Arrests
Oct. 1
Richard McKinley Redmon, Jr., 45, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the 500 block of N.C. 9 and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Oct. 5
Brandon Lee Wilson, 34, of Old Fort, was arrested at the intersection of N.C. 9 and Sutton Avenue and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance.
