Crime report in the Swannanoa Valley
The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department reported these incidents and arrests.
Incidents
Sept. 22
Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on the 100 block of Bright Hope Road.
Larceny was reported on the 400 block of Montreat Road.
Larceny from buildings was reported on the 900 block of Montreat Road.
An animal bite was reported on the 500 block of Montreat Road.
Forgery of notes, checks and other securities, counterfeiting of instruments was reported at a business on the 500 block of N.C. 9.
Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia were reported on the 100 block of Sutton Avenue.
Credit card fraud was reported on the 300 block of Bowtie Lane.
Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on the 100 block of Harrison Hill Road.
Larceny from a motor vehicle as reported on the 100 block of Woodburn Drive.
Sept. 24
Damage to personal property was reported on the 2500 block of N.C. 9.
Felony eluding arrest was reported on the 400 block of Buckey Access Road.
Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on the 100 block of Wren's Nest.
Larceny was reported on the 200 block of West State Street.
Sept. 26
Indecent liberties with a child was reported on the 900 block of Montreat Road.
Felony breaking or entering - with force - was reported on the 300 block of Bee Tree Road.
Sept. 27
Credit card fraud was reported on the 100 block of Sunset Drive.
Sept. 28
Fraud - worthless check - was reported on the 300 block of West State Street.
Arrests
Sept. 19
Sean Patrick Regan, 29, of Fairview, was arrested on I-40 at mile marker 64 and charged with resisting public officers.
Sept. 22
Jennifer Lea Edwards, 42, of Marion, was arrested on the 100 block of Sutton Avenue and charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance.
Timothy Ray Wooten, 52, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 200 block of N.C. 9 and charged with driving while impaired.
Sept. 25
Ian Christopher Monley, 28, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 200 block of Riddle Road and charged with violating a protective order.
James Lawrence-Ray Shay, 34, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the 2500 block of N.C. 9 and charged with assault on a female.
Sept. 29
Fred Andrew Banks III, 41, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the first block of Monk Court and charged with communicating threats.
