The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department reported these incidents and arrests.

Incidents

Aug. 11

Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on the 2300 block of U.S. 70.

An animal attack was reported on the 100 block of South Avenue.

Aug. 12

Simple assault was reported on Cherry Street.

Aug. 13

An animal bite was reported on the 100 block of South Cotton Avenue.

Aug. 15

Larceny from buildings was reported on the first block of Tom Rickard Lane.

Aug. 16

Criminal damage to property was reported on the 200 block of Davis Drive.

Damage to property was reported on the 100 block of Cherry Street.

Aug. 17

Criminal damage to property - vandalism was reported on the 100 block of Carver Avenue.

Burglary was reported on the 100 block of Kent Street.

Arrests

Aug. 7

Nicholas Jay Beddingfield, 36, of Asheville, was arrested on the first block of Summer Haven Road and charged with possession of marijuana paraphernalia, driving with license revoked, speed violation, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting public officers, driving left of center, littering - less than 15 pounds, possession of methamphetamine and fleeing or eluding arrest with a motor vehicle.

Jonathan Robert Carter, 28, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 500 block of N.C. 9 and charged with simple possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance and simple possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance.

Aug. 12

Sean Patrick Regan, 29, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the first block of Tucker Road and charged with assault with a deadly weapon and assault on a female.

Aug. 14

Billy Ogle, 53, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the first block of Good Loop and charged with misdemeanor larceny.

Eddie Dean Allison, 38, of Asheville, was arrested on the 2200 block of U.S. 70 and charged with writing a simple worthless check.

Aug. 17

Shayne Earl Allison, 32, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the first block of Tupper Road and charged with assault on a female and communicating threats.
