July 28

Missing property was reported at a business on the 400 block of Blue Ridge Road.

Shoplifting was reported at a business on the 100 block of Broadway Avenue.

Breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering were reported on the 200 block of Flat Creek Road.

Larceny of medication was reported on the 500 block of West State Street.

Breaking and entering was reported on the 100 block of Ridgecrest Drive.

July 29

Larceny of a dirt bike was reported on the first block of Pinetree Drive.

Motor vehicle theft was reported on the 400 block of East State Street.

Counterfeiting was reported on the 100 block of Cherry Street.

July 31

Burglary- forcible entry was reported on the 100 block of Vance Avenue.

An animal bite was reported on the 1400 block of North Fork Road.

Aug. 1 

Driving while intoxicated and driving with an open container of alcohol was reported on the 300 block of East State Street.

Larceny was reported on the 200 block of Lakey Gap Acres.

Aug. 2

Assault with a deadly weapon was reported on the 200 block of Winding Ridge Road.

Possible exposure to rabies was reported on the 100 block of Balsam Road.

A violation of a preventive measures order was reported on the first block of Burgins Chapel Road.

Breaking and entering was reported on the first block of Hope View Road.

Aug. 3

Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance were reported on I-40 at mile marker 61.5.

Larceny from buildings was reported on the 500 block of Stepp Street.

Shoplifting and aggravated assault were reported at a business on the 100 block of Sutton Avenue.

Counterfeiting was reported on the 100 block of Cherry Street.

Larceny was reported on the 300 block of Lakey Gap Acres.

Aug. 4

Fraud - obtaining money or property by false pretense, was reported on the 100 block of Gragg Street.

Arrests

July 23

Caitlin Rose Wald, 23, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the 500 block of N.C. 9 and charged with driving while impaired.

Keela Massey Curry, 42, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the 100 block of Vance Avenue and charged with second degree trespassing.

Kayla Michelle Curry, 20, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the 100 block of Vance Avenue and charged with second degree trespassing.

Terry Wayne Curry, 43, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 100 block of Vance Avenue and charged with second degree trespassing.

Devon James Morris, 23, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the 100 block of Vance Avenue and charged with second degree trespassing.

July 25

Aaron Keith Brown, 38, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the 500 block of West State Street and charged with assault on a female and misdemeanor larceny.

Kevin Walton, 56, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the 100 block of South Ridgeway Avenue and charged with breaking or entering and assault on a female.

July 26

Lewis Paul Lee, 61, of Asheville, was arrested on the 500 block of N.C. 9 and charged with being intoxicated and disruptive.

July 28

Johnathan Thurman Hitchcock, 36, of Asheville, was arrested on the 300 block of East State Street and charged with misdemeanor larceny.

July 29

Alice Ruth Phillips, 51, of Asheville, was arrested on the 100 block of Barker Avenue and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

July 30

Robert Edward Lewis, 33, of Asheville, was arrested on U.S. 70 and charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance.

Tiffany Lynn Jones, 28, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 100 block of Alexander Place and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

John Thomas Owens, 44, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the first block of Hourglass Way and charged with assault on a female, resisting public officers and a civil order for arrest.

Jack Leon Weatherford, 85, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 100 block of Campbell Street and charged with assault with a deadly weapon and second degree trespassing.

Martina Danielle Demick, 23, of Marion, was arrested on I-40 exit 66 and charged with misdemeanor larceny and misdemeanor child abuse.
