Incidents

May 27

An animal bite was reported on the 300 block of West State Street.

Larceny was reported at a business on the 400 block of West State Street.

May 28

Possible exposure to rabies was reported on the 300 block of Lake Eden Road.

Damage to personal property was reported on the 2700 block of U.S. 70

Possessing a stolen vehicle was reported on the 200 block of N.C. 9.

May 29

An animal bite was reported on the 100 block of Mountain View Road.

May 30

Larceny of a motor vehicle was reported on the 100 block of Tom Rickard Lane.

May 31

Assault on a female was reported on the first block of Vance Avenue.

Rape was reported on North Fork Road near the golf course.

June 1

Motor vehicle theft was reported at a business on the 400 block of East State Street.

Arrests

May 22

David Scott Blankenship, 41, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Montreat Road and charged with assault on a female.

May 23

Frederick Auther Badgero II, 21, of Asheville, was arrested at the intersection of Sutton Avenue and Broadway and charged with driving with license revoked not impaired, reckless driving to endanger and carrying a concealed gun.

May 24

Justin Tyler Rollins, 20, of Asheville, was arrested on the 100 block of East College Street and charged with breaking and entering, simple possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, resisting public officers and felony larceny.

Jamal Semaj Farrington, 22, of Asheville, was arrested on the 100 block of East College Street and charged with breaking and entering, possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, felony larceny, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting public officers, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a Schedule IV controlled substance and possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a Schedule I controlled substance.

May 25

Richard Dylan Rathbone, 22, Candler, was arrested and charged with felony larceny and first-degree burglary.

May 26

James Christopher Davidson, 34, of Spanish Port, Ala., and arrested on a fugitive warrant.

May 27

Kiyshon Devontae Briscoe, 24, of Black Mountain, was arrested at the intersection of U.S. 70 and Church Street and charged with driving with license revoked not impaired and failure to stop at a steady red light.

May 28

Yanira Rebeca Gonzalez, 23, of Asheville, was arrested on Montreat Road and charged with failure to comply with license restrictions, driving while impaired and failure to maintain lane control.

May 31

Robert Tracy McCombs, 48, of Pigeon Forge, Tenn., was arrested on exit 59 on I-40 and charged with possession of Schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and felony probation violation.
