Cinema on the Square kicks off on May 24 in Swannanoa

“Cinema on the Square,” the Swannanoa community's free outdoor movie series, returns to Grovemont Square at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 24, with a screening of one of 2018’s most popular computer-animated family movies, based on a beloved children’s book by Beatrix Potter.

The PG-rated movie will begin at dusk. Bring a chair or blanket and arrive early to enjoy the mountain views, large playground and beautiful outdoor space, perfect for playing games. Popcorn, snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. 

The "Cinema on the Square" movie series is brought to you by Friends and Neighbors of Swannanoa (FANS), the Friends of the Swannanoa Library, and the Swannanoa Community Council.
