Black Mountain-based nonprofit Bounty & Soul will host its 2nd Annual Community Dig Day at the Swannanoa Valley Medical Center from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 25.

The family-friendly fun festival will feature educational workshops, healthy cooking demonstrations, more than 15 vendors, music and dancing, local food, a silent auction and entertainment for children.

Each $10 admission entitles each participant to 3 organic starts and composted soil in a container to take home.

Parking is available in front of Hopey & Co., 3018 US 70 West, Black Mountain NC, 28711 and a shuttle service to the event site will be available.

Music will be provided by The Paper Crowns, Noah Proudfoot and I, Star. Workshop topics include gardening, mushrooming, fermentation, herbs, foraging and more.

Many vendors will be sharing their skills and knowledge by adding to the educational themes of the event.  The silent auction includes an “over the top” Black Mountain Staycation.  The joyous day will conclude with Salsa dancing at 5:00.
