Owen performing arts department to present spring musical in May

Owen High School performing arts students rehearse for their May 9 - 10 performance the musical "She Loves Me."

The Owen High School performing arts department will present its spring musical, "She Loves Me," on May 9-11. 

Directed by drama teacher Lyn Nihart, in collaboration with music director Timothy Wilds and choreographer Chloe Munn, the adaption of the 1937 Miklós László play "Parfurmerie" will be performed at 7 p.m. during its three-night run. 

The romantic comedy is the third adaptation of the play by the Hungarian playwright, and premiered on Broadway in 1963.

Owen band director Tyson Hamrick will direct the student orchestra in the performance. 

Tickets are $10. Reserved seating can be purchased in advance at cdowenhs.ticketleap.com/shelovesme/. General admission can be purchased at the door the night of the show, when doors open at 6:30 p.m.
