Owen High School and Goodwill partner for Donate2Educate

From Staff Reports
Black Mountain News| USA TODAY NETWORK

Owen High School is partnering with Goodwill for a PTSO school fundraiser from Oct. 22 - Nov. 5. All are invited to help the school raise funds for teachers to attend professional development opportunities and to show appreciation for the staff.

Funds are earned based on each pound donated.

Donate2Educate, a partnership between Goodwill and Owen High School, is a fundraiser for the school from Oct. 22-Nov. 5. Donations brought to the Goodwill trailer at the school will support faculty training.

According to school principal Meg Turner, there is a great need for funding for teachers to further their learning as budget cuts have limited these opportunities in recent year, making it unlikely for staff to attend training without the PTSO support.

Please place your unwanted items inside the Goodwill trailer located in the school parking lot from 6 a.m. - 9 p.m., Monday through Friday (closed on weekends), from Oct. 22-Nov. 5.

Most needed items: clothing, accessories, linens, home decor, furniture, electronics.  Cannot accept: mattresses, broken or stained items, TVs, building materials. For more information, please contact the Owen front office at 686-3852.
