Former resident to sing at Isis Music Hall
Former Black Mountain resident Bronwyn Cronin will be singing with the ensemble Jazzville on Sunday, Feb. 4 at Isis Music Hall, 743 Haywood Road, Asheville. Tickets are $12 advance and at the door. The show starts at 5:30 p.m.
Adventurous in her interpretation of cherished melodies, Cronin serves up a modern juxtaposition of classic tradition and modern innovation.
Jazzville performs straight ahead jazz with melodies from the American Songbook such as “It Don’t Mean a Thing,” “Nature Boy” and “Just the Way You Look Tonight.”
This performance will feature selections from Jazzville's soon-to-be-released album "Blue Skies," recorded at Seclusion Hill Studios in Asheville.
The combo has enjoyed swinging American jazz standards at White Horse Black Mountain, the Grove Park Inn, the Biltmore Estate, Asheville Ballroom and the Altamont Theater.
