Top songwriter Anthony Mossburg at White Horse

Three years after first picking up a guitar in college, Anthony Mossburg leaped from the stability of a full-time job to the vagaries of a life in music, the one thing that made him feel most alive. Now he’s released four albums of original music in as many years and won numerous award and accolades. His meteoric rise brings him at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21 to White Horse Black Mountain, an intimate room where his soulful voice, intricate guitar accompaniments and warm stage presence can be appreciated up close.
After three years of DIY touring, Anthony Mossburg is headlining shows around the country and is regarded as one of the rising stars of the the new crop of singer-songwriters. His 2015 breakthrough song, “Whiskey and Wine,” worked its way into top slots of several online services and broke the top 10 on iTunes indie albums list. He’s earned many awards in his Columbus, Ohio, hometown for his assured pop-savvy vocal delivery, gutsy lyrics and melodic gifts.
