Montreat College’s annual Christmas Concert, a longtime favorite for local community members, will take place at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5 in Montreat’s Anderson Auditorium. The concert will feature the Montreat College Choir, Montreat Chamber Orchestra and Montreat’s contemporary ensemble, The Movement. The concert is free and open to all.

This year’s performance will feature Christmas-themed hymns, spirituals and classical pieces, as well as holiday favorites like Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker” and a sing-a-long of traditional Christmas carols. The choir will be conducted byTimothy Wilds, the orchestra by Benjamin Smith, and the contemporary ensemble by Kevin Auman.

Donations to the Montreat College music department will be appreciated.
