Jane O Cunningham has honed her storytelling chops and is ready to present what she's learned.

Nationally celebrated storyteller Connie Regan-Blake hosts her “Taking the Stage” workshop participants for an evening of storytelling at Black Mountain Center for the Arts at 7:30 p.m. April 21. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door, if available (the last three storyteller performances have sold out).

The featured tellers, some of whom are Asheville Circle members, include Jane O Cunningham from Rome, Georgia; Gabriele Marewski of Black Mountain; Christine Phillips Westfeldt from Fairview; Bobby Harris of Marietta, Georgia; Dottie Jean Kirk from Tryon; and Kathy J. Ramirez from Asheville.

“We have been hosting these showcases with Connie for the past two years, and each one has been so engaging,” Gale Jackson, Black Mountain Center for the Arts executive director, said. “The tellers have been talented, and the content of their stories is ever-changing and delightful. Connie is an inspiring guide for this dynamic group.”
