Bounty & Soul readies for VegOut fundraiser
Bounty & Soul, a nonprofit hunger relief organization, will host its second annual VegOut fundraiser at Pisgah Brewing Co. on Saturday, June 10 from 1-6 p.m. to celebrate healthy food access and community partnership.
The kid-friendly event is an opportunity for the community to enjoy live local music, local food and beverages while supporting Bounty & Soul in its fight against food insecurity and in the promotion of health education.
Featured bands include Chalwa, Little Pisgah, and The Paper Crowns. There will also be face-painting, fairy hair and free yoga classes from the Yoga Service Movement.
Bounty & Soul serves Buncombe and McDowell counties by providing fresh, healthy foods, nutrition education and health and wellness resources to people and families in need through five weekly mobile markets.
Pisgah Brewing will donate funds from “Pisgah Pints,” and guests will have the opportunity to join a brewery tour throughout the afternoon with a portion of the proceeds going to Bounty & Soul.
Farm to Fender food truck will be onsite providing locally sourced foods and giving a portion of proceeds to Bounty & Soul.
Tickets are $10 at the door. There is no cost for kids 12 and under.
