Mountain Folk Harpers hold show at Arts Center
The Black Mountain Center for the Arts welcomes back the Mountain Folk Harpers Ensemble as they perform a Christmas concert on December 2 at 3 p.m. The cost of this performance is is $10.
Celtic harpist Sue Richards teaches lessons at the arts center and leads the Ensemble. This informal, multigenerational group of local and international harpers offers a holiday and traditional themed performance featuring solos, duets and ensemble pieces.
“We are looking forward to sharing this beautiful repertoire on harps again this year,” Richards said. “The resonance of multiple instruments being played at once thrillingly fills the room.”
In addition to Richards, the Ensemble includes Patricia Steyer, Jeanne Mason, John Hickman, and Jill Sagarin. This talented group has been practicing and cannot wait to take the stage at the Black Mountain Center for the Arts. Tickets to this show are the perfect pre-holiday gift, and an ideal way to get into the spirit of giving.
