Crime report in the Swannanoa Valley

The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department reported these incidents and arrests.

Incidents

Sept. 1

Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance was reported on the 900 block of Montreat Road.

An animal bite was reported on the 200 block of Harrison Avenue.

Fraud was reported on the 1900 block of U.S. 70.

Sept. 2 

Larceny was reported on the 200 block of Roaring Rock Road.

Sept. 4

Larceny was reported on the 100 block of Rainbow Ridge Road.

Larceny was reported on the 500 block of N.C. 9.

Sept. 5

Larceny was reported on Mandolin Drive.

Sept. 7

An animal bite was reported on the 100 block of Locust Street.

Fraud was reported on the first block of Walker Town Road.

Arrests

Aug. 29

Tyler William Burns, 30, of Asheville, was arrested at the intersection of Montreat Road and Laurel Circle Drive and charged with possession of burglary tools, failure to carry valid drivers license and providing fictitious information to an officer.

Aug. 30

Christopher Todd Burnette, 37, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the first block of North Blue Ridge Road and charged with conspiring to commit felony larceny, selling or delivering a Schedule II controlled substance, receiving stolen goods, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sept. 1

Trena Diane Weaver, 24, of Asheville, was arrested on the 900 block of Montreat Road and charged with assault on a female.

Christopher Adam Cole, 32, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 900 block of Montreat Road and charged with possession of methamphetamine and resisting public officers.

Wade Franklin Turner, 45, of Black Mountain, was arrested on the first block of Pearl Street and charged with assault on a female.

Sept. 2

Joseph Daniel Moore, 43, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 2300 block of U.S. 70 and charged with larceny and larceny by removing, destroying or deactivating a component of an anti-shoplifting device.

Brittany Nicole Nelon, 26, of Swannanoa, was arrested on the 100 block of Lytle Cove Road and charged with larceny and failure to appear in court.

Sept. 3

Misty Ann Thomas, 50, of Black Mountain, was arrested at the intersection of Laurel Circle and Rhododendron Road and charged with driving while impaired and possession of an open container of alcohol in the passenger area.

Sept. 8

Alexandros Nikolaos Tsilianos, 32, of Old Fort, was arrested at the intersection of Dennis Street and Getaway Drive and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle.
