The Dancing Dragonfly located at 110 Broadway St has changed ownership.

The shop, created by artist Norman Gill and businessman Bland Holland, expanded in product lines and handmade art from regional craftsman over its nearly three years in operation.

The buyers of the property and business are Maylin Travers, Liane Martinez and business partner Anneyra Espinoza. They currently own a home in the Marion area and have visited the region for many years.

Travers recently retired from teaching art and will be operating the shop on a full-time basis while her sister and partner assist from time to time during the busier seasons.

The new owners will continue operating under the same business name and with the same products and vendors that local and regular tourist customers have come to love.

Gill and Holland are finishing up business interest in the area and will be relocating to Ajijic, Mexico for retirement.

“It has been a joy to do this successful project in Black Mountain and we wish continued success for The Dancing Dragonfly and the new owners," Gill and Holland said in a statement.
