A bucket list includes goals to achieve, dreams to fulfill and life experiences to have before you die.
Chuck Werle has published a new book, “A Lifetime in Reverse: What’s on Your Bucket List?” The book highlights Werle’s lifetime highs and lows over the past four decades, putting his bucket list in reverse. The book, a mini-book published by Amazon Create Space, includes 60 pages of experiences meant to motivate those with ideas, dreams and goals in their heads.
Werle is a man of many titles. He is principal of Carolina Image Builders, a public relations counseling firm in Asheville since 2003 with national experience in crisis communications and media relations. His professional communications career includes editing and writing for corporations, advertising agencies and associations, as well as 11 years counseling the DeVry University System.
Werle wrote his first book in 2009, “From Tee to Green in the Carolina Mountains” (available on Amazon). He retired to Asheville from Chicago at the end of 2000 after garnering many professional honors. He was voted the Outstanding Public Relations Executive by both Chicago chapters of the Public Relations Society of America and was elected to the National College of Fellows by PRSA in 1992. As a journalist he worked at The Milwaukee Journal, La Porte (Indiana) Herald-Argus and the Lapeer (Michigan) County Press.
Werle saw the movie “The Bucket List” with actors Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman, and it influenced him to review his own life highlights, bringing the book into focus. The book is divided into two major sections — “mine” and “yours.” He shares lifetime highlights, including family incidents, travel adventures, the “real” world of public relations and experiences as a sports writer.
