Crowd-pleasing performer Andy Buckner can be fairly described as a soulful songwriter, Southern rocker and country crooner.

On Saturday, Dec. 30 at 8 p.m., White Horse Black Mountain fans will have the opportunity to hear an Andy Buckner solo show. Tickets are $10 advance/$12 door.

Buckner comes from a long line of musicians and soaked up his many musical influences during his childhood in the mountains of Marshall. A multi-instrumentalist, he discovered his calling as a songwriter. His solo work has embraced classic and outlaw country, Southern rock, bluegrass, rock ’n’ roll and blues.

“Mainly I want people to listen to the words that I write and be able to relate their lives and the things they go through with my songs,” he said. “If I could be known for anything it would be that my music inspired, touched and healed the hearts and minds of many lives all across the world.”
