Kids and kids at heart will jump for joy at news that a second indoor trampoline park is set to open in Greenville, S.C..

Coming late this summer will be Sky Zone with more than 18,000 square feet of trampolines inside the former Sports Authority at 2465 Laurens Road.

Sky Zone bills itself as the world’s first all-trampoline walled playing court, and photos show trampolines that extend up the walls for the chance to bounce in nearly every direction.

The company got its start in Las Vegas in 2004. It has since expanded to 40 locations with 50 more on the way, said local franchise owner Alan Wilson.

“This is an idea that’s really neat not only for Greenville but for the U.S.,” Wilson said.

In addition to open jump areas, Sky Zone features courts dedicated to dodgeball and basketball and a giant foam pit, Wilson said.

“It’s a sneaky way to get fitness into our youth,” he said.

Fitness classes also will be offered every day, and the Sky Zone will be available for birthday parties, corporate events and more.

Hourly rates for the facility have not yet been finalized, Wilson said, but the website indicates prices of $8-$17, depending on length of stay.

Sky Zone will join Gravitopia, another trampoline park set to open this summer off Butler Road.
